Our commitment to improving life is a concrete and ongoing process. We are not just another coffee company hunting for profit – instead we give profit back to the community.
We have established a Community Based Organization (CBO) for the farmers of the Ruboni village. In fact, our CBO benefits the whole Ruboni community, not just the farmers and their families.
We donate 10% of our company’s profits to the CBO in order to develop the infrastructure, education level and social environment of the community.
This initiative has already produced job opportunities and wellbeing for the people of the Ruboni village. Our future endeavors include building street lights and increasing sustainable tourist volume, which brings even more work and cashflow to the community.
When it comes to environmental, social, and governance policies, fair compensation for coffee farmers is of utmost importance. We take pride in paying our farmers 15–40% more than the standard rates offered by most coffee buyers.
This not only benefits the farmers and their communities, but also has a positive impact on the environment. By promoting sustainable, organic coffee farming, we are creating a virtuous cycle that benefits both the farmers and the environment.
Although our operations are based in Europe, we are committed to prioritizing local employment. In line with this, our Ugandan subsidiary exclusively employs individuals from Uganda.
