We single-source our coffee from the Ruboni village on the Rwenzori Mountains in Western Uganda. From constant organic farming training program to local production, we ensure that the highest environmental, ethical and social requirements for sustainable coffee production are met.
Organic farming training
When we say our coffee is 100% organic, we mean that. We have developed an ongoing training program for our farmers to ensure that our coffee is grown without any chemicals. The coffee farmers are educated to use natural pesticides, insecticides and fungicides using only locally grown plant extracts.
Organic farming doesn’t just ensure better coffee quality, but also healthier environment for the farmers and their families.
So what about the coffee?
We buy coffee only from one location, which is the Ruboni village on the hills of Rwenzori Mountains in Kasese district, Western Uganda.
The altitude is high, from 1500 to 2000 metres from the sea level. The altitude and the mild climate gives fruity, complex nuances to our coffee cherries, which we hand pick only when they are red. 100% organic, 100% SL28 Arabica, 100% red & ready for further natural processing on our own processing farm in the Ruboni village.
Our current SCA score is 84, which is considered Very Good. We make every step possible to develop our Specialty Coffee even better.
